Blog Posts

Client: Scientists Warning Europe

Problem: This action group required a blog post on the topic "What Will Climate Change Look Like for You?" The goal was to discuss different potential future experiences of climate change in capital cities around, with the idea of stating the very real consequences of various changes in global temperature. It was important to balance the potential devastation with potential solutions.

Solution: I read their action paper and researched relevant content. I then wrote a blog using the parameters provided, emphasizing that this is not a problem happening in some far-off foreign place, but a shared global challenge.

Result: The post was published on their website November 2021, after the group’s attendance at the United Nations COP26 Climate Change Conference.

Election Platform and Campaign Materials

Client: Robyn Steed

Problem: Incumbent School Trustee was seeking re-election in highly competitive ward.

Solution: I developed a benefit-driven election platform and also summarized common questions and answers in an easy-to-read format for social media platforms.

Result: The candidate was re-elected in her ward.

Social Media and Email Campaign

Client: Friends of Saint-André, Saint André Playground Project

Problem: This non-profit society needed to raise over $300,000 to install a playground for a new school

Solution: I orchestrated a bold campaign to gain a grant via the Aviva Community Fund. This grant involved obtaining public support in the form of daily votes over multiple weeks. I developed multiple posts, emails, flyers and brochures via social media and email to engage support and encourage supporters to vote daily for this initiative.

Result: We were finalists two years in a row, and grand prize winners in 2015. The project was awarded $51,000 in total from this grant.

Print Copy

Client: Friesen’s Yearbooks

Problem: Academic high school students were challenged to create a yearbook with a well-developed theme and engaging copy.

Solution: As their yearbook advisor, I oversaw the production of this publication and ensured deadlines were met. I encouraged ideas, helped write engaging stories, captions and quizzes for the publication.

Result: Our yearbook was recognized for innovative theme design and overall quality from the publisher.
